Ever since caveman time’s feminism has been an issue, lots of women from all over the world make campaigns and protests to stop feminism. A group from the Ukraine called “femen” had a protest near a KGB building in the Belarusian capital (KGB in English stands for principle soviet security agency) , Minsk, on December 19, the movement was to stop sexism and other issues, but also Femen was participating in a protest in Minsk against Belarus' authoritarian president, Alexander Lukashenko, according to the Washington Post. A year ago Lukashenko was declared the winner of a fraudulent election and many people who were arrested in the ensuing crackdown on demonstrators remain in jail. After dozens of people gathered on the steps of the KGB headquarters on Monday, agents started breaking up the crowd and making arrests, but three of the “Femen” activists were able to get away. But hours later they were stopped by KGB agents and forced to go on a train which they stayed on for 120 miles they then (there are still investigations on but that’s what the women said) where assaulted in the woods and had their hair cut with knives to “humiliate the women” a term news websites used (because of the symbolism of hair and beauty and sometimes many people feel almost naked without hair) , they then found a small village with a phone , in a phone call with the head of the group they said that they were barely alive .
The protest
The protest was about the fraudulent election in 2010 but also about their currency dropping in value which was held on the exact same date as the demonstration last year .People are calling this protest the “silent rally” because people just stood clapping their hands 3,000 people turned up though about 100 people were arrested by the police. The organisers of recent protests call themselves "the revolution via social network". After the protest many where forced on buses by casually dressed police officers
